Leanne Laine Art
Leanne Laine, born in the Philippines and raised in Canada, is an expressionist whose art is described to celebrate traditional subjects with a free-spirited, rebellious twist. Since 2003, numerous art pieces of Leanne’s works have been sold to private and corporate collectors worldwide. Leanne displays the concept of color more so than the subject matter itself, which vary for her love of the beauty in still-life wines, cocktails, floral potteries, landscapes, seascapes and abstract figures. Her combination of bold and neutral colors in play with rough acrylic strokes, providing plenty of texture to the touch give a sense of striking composition and urban appeal most suitable for the modern art enthusiast and contemporary space.
“Creating art is like a dance for me. When dancing, your body is stimulated by the rhythm of music. When I paint, my eyes are stimulated by the power of what we take for granted in our daily surroundings -- color. I work to stimulate the visual senses by greatly enhancing colors, shapes, light, shadow, still-life and motion. I believe that art should have no boundaries or limitations. Imagination is such a powerful tool and I encourage it through my pieces in hopes that the viewer will be able to encourage their imagination and free it to unlimited depths as well.”
